Mark your calendars! Runyon’s super-fun fall run is coming Thursday, September 24.

Students will run with their grade while families cheer from the sidelines. Along the way, our community will work together to fund more flexible teaching and enrichment time for Runyon students.

WHAT IS DASH 4 CA$H?

Dash 4 Ca$h is Runyon Elementary PTO’s biggest annual fundraiser—and one of the most exciting days of the school year!

This year, we are raising money to provide students with additional time supported by qualified adults. The school calls this additional staffing “FTE,” or full-time equivalent. We like to call it flexible teaching and enrichment time—or simply, Time 4 Kids.

The amount we raise directly determines how much additional time Runyon can provide for students.

Every $1.25 raised funds one minute of Time 4 Kids.

OUR GOAL: 40,000 MINUTES

Our schoolwide goal is to fund:

40,000 minutes of Time 4 Kids—or $50,000

Because the website tracks dollars rather than minutes, fundraising progress will appear in dollars. Just remember:

• $1.25 funds 1 minute

• $25 funds 20 minutes

• $75 funds 1 Hour

• $300 funds 1 Day

• $1500 funds a whole week

Runyon PTO coordinates Dash 4 Ca$h without an outside fundraising company, helping keep costs low so every dollar raised through this event can support flexible teaching and enrichment time for students.

 WHAT HAPPENS ON RUN DAY?

Dash 4 Ca$h takes place Thursday, September 24, during the regular school day.

Each grade will have its own run time on Runyon’s lower field. The grade-level schedule will be shared with families closer to the event.

Parents and caregivers are welcome—and encouraged—to come cheer! Because the event takes place on the open lower field, families do not need to check in at the office before watching.

Mr. Hill, Runyon’s PE teacher, will bring the music, movement and fun.

WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS WEAR?

Runyon PTO will give every student a grade-level Runyon shirt to wear during the run and keep.

Students can wear their shirts throughout the year for field trips, assemblies, spirit days and the year-end school picture.

SCHOOLWIDE MILESTONES

As our community raises money, the entire school will unlock wonderful celebrations. Each milestone includes everything earned at the earlier levels.

$7,500 — 6,000 Minutes

Extra Recess

Everyone loves recess! The entire school earns additional recess time.

$15,000 — 12,000 Minutes

Pajama Day and Afternoon Movie

The whole school gets cozy for a pajama day, followed by a movie in the afternoon.

$20,000 — 16,000 Minutes

Grade-Level Color Takeover

Each grade receives a special color to wear, followed by a colorful schoolwide picture.

$35,000 — 28,000 Minutes

Students Take Over PE

The kids take charge of PE! Students get to help lead the fun.

$40,000 — 32,000 Minutes

Schoolwide Party and Kona Ice

The entire school earns a celebration—and everyone gets Kona Ice. The closer we get to our full $50,000 goal, the bigger the party becomes!

$50,000 — 40,000 Minutes

Our Full Time 4 Kids Goal

Reaching $50,000 means Runyon has funded all 40,000 minutes of flexible teaching and enrichment time.

GRADE-LEVEL CHALLENGE

The grade that raises the most will earn a special whole-grade party!

Individual students are never excluded based on fundraising. The competition is between entire grades, and all schoolwide milestones are enjoyed by every Runyon student.

VOLUNTEER WITH US

Parents and caregivers help make Dash 4 Ca$h special. Volunteer opportunities include assisting with run-day activities and donating needed items.
